Change Team:
Practice Schedule
by posted 03/24/2023

Hi everyone,

I hope to get a date for the coaches meeting so I can gather more information about games and also get our jerseys!

Picture day will be Saturday 4/15 in the morning and will be in the Cabrini Grade School gym.

As soon as the photographer, Studio One, will assign times I will post it here and I will also send an email.

I’m sure everyone has read the equipment list carefully ( I didn’t!) but I want to remind everyone that each player is required to bring their own ball.

The Ball

Size 3 Ball will be used for 3-4 year olds.

Size 4 Ball will be used for 5-10 year olds.

I’ve been working on the practice schedule, our days will be Monday and Friday from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

The League Director let us know that the fields behind the Cabrini High School are not ready to play yet, therefore I scheduled our first two practices to be at the soccer field close to the Millward Park off Goddard road, since their goal’s doors are permanent.

You should have received emails regarding practices since I scheduled through the Cabrini website, but I’ve also attached a list with all our practices, dates, times and locations.

We will have 12 days of practice during this season, weather permitting!

In case of rainy days I will do my best to reschedule the practice day.

I’m going to get back to you after the coaches meeting and let you know about our games, dates and times, in the meantime enjoy Spring Break!

Coach Mario

Hello Everyone!
by posted 03/24/2023

My name is Mario, I’m going to be your coach for this season and I’m excited to start this adventure with all of you.

I was 5 years old when I first started playing soccer, I had a lot of dreams like you are having now.

Playing soccer was the best thing that happened to me, I could play all day and never get tired, it helped me socialize with other kids and taught me how to play all together, it didn't matter who scored the goal, in the end we all won or lost as a team.

This is my first time as a coach, although I played soccer for 15 years, it’s going to be a new experience and I hope that all the kids are going to have fun, after all that’s what soccer should be.

My expectations are that, at the end of this season, we have learned the basic skills and coordination to lay the foundation for their soccer journeys, to keep things simple and positive with constructive criticism.

As a parent myself I’m aware of all the sacrifices we have to do to be able to make our kids happy, but I’m sure that in the end it is all worth it.

I’m open to any questions or concerns that you may have, you can email me at   , also I’m going to be available after every practice or games.

I’m going to attach to this email a copy of the rules and equipment needed for our division.

This is a very important extract from the copy of equipment needed, I didn’t want nobody to miss it!

Shoes

Regular tennis shoes are fine for 3 and 4 year olds.

Ages 5 and up must have soft-cleat soccer shoes for their safety. Football, softball, or baseball cleats are not allowed. These shoes have a toe cleat which is considered dangerous in soccer.

Shin guards

It is mandatory that all players wear shin guards.

Shin guards must be covered entirely by the soccer socks. You may also wear an “all-in-one” soccer sock that has a sewn-in shin guard.

The league will not allow a person to play or practice soccer without shin guards or soft-cleat soccer shoes.

I am very honored and thrilled that I have this opportunity.

I can’t wait until the season starts. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m sure we are going to give our best.

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

Coach Mario
